In 2021, Samantha created the limited nonfiction series Beasts of Seattle as Town Hall Seattle’s podcaster-in-residence. She also co-hosts the You Should See the Other Guy podcast, in which she and her friends Jenn and Sadie argue that rom-com protagonists should have chosen the eponymous “other guy.”

Samantha won the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Digital Journalism Article in 2018 and the NLGJA Excellence in Political Coverage Award in 2021. She was a Lambda Literary Award finalist for Real Queer America and has been nominated for two further GLAAD Awards.
